It feels like a battlefield everywhere we turn—from negative media posts to raging opinions to judgement to managing your family—the neighborhood we live in has become a strange land! 2020 isn’t the first time God’s people have had to navigate their way through the foreign territory. In this winter series, using the Israelites as our guide, we’ll navigate what it looks like to live as a Jesus follower as a cultural minority.
PART I
We’ll illustrate the reality of the cultural shift we’re experiencing as well as give a framework through which to grieve loss.
PART II
Jumping into the lives of Daniel and Esther, we’ll explore what it means to shift from being a religious majority to being a convictional minority.
PART III
In the final part of the series, we reach advent and we’ll discover how hope is found in the truth that the King of Kings will lead His people into a new and heavenly home. Until then, we live as strangers and aliens, as ambassadors of a king whose rule and reign can be experienced even when living a long way from home.
